Filtering the web is still harder than it should be
Keyword lists miss the point
You block "outrage" and get "people are furious" instead. Every new phrasing slips through.
One extension per site
A blocker for YouTube, another for Reddit, nothing for the forums and comment sections you read every day.
Content flashes, then breaks
Posts appear before they vanish, and filtering stops after page one or on infinite scroll.
AI filters want your API key
The smart ones expect your own AI account, a key and a bill per token.
Smart Filter fixes all four, on every site you visit.
Keywords catch words. You want to filter what posts mean.
A keyword list needs every phrasing in advance. An AI rule reads each item and decides whether it matches what you described.
Keyword rule
outrage- Outrage as city council approves parking fee
- You won't believe what this CEO just said about workers
- People are furious and they have every right to be
- This one chart should make everyone angry

rage bait: written to make me angry- Outrage as city council approves parking fee
- You won't believe what this CEO just said about workers
- People are furious and they have every right to be
- This one chart should make everyone angry
4 of 4 caught
One sentence in. A quieter page out.
Describe it the way you'd say it
No lists, no regex. Free keyword rules with wildcards work alongside AI rules.
Choose how it disappears
Every filtered item says why. One click shows it anyway.
On one site or everywhere
Save rules as filter sets and switch them per site.
Nothing flashes
Items are checked before they paint, even while you scroll forever.
Tuned for the feeds you scroll most
Presets know where each post, video or listing starts and ends, and come with rules worth turning on.

Any other site works too
Smart Filter finds the repeated items on a page by itself: posts, comments (news comment sections too), products, listings. Not right? Point at one item and it learns the rest.
Save your filters as sets
Group rules for a purpose and turn them on where they belong. A set for calm news on Reddit and Google, another without spoilers, one for work hours.

Your keywords stay on your device.
AI rules need a model, so only your rule and the text of each item go out, with a random install ID and the extension version, and without your name, your account or the page address.
Stays in your browser
- Keyword rules and every match they make
- Your filter sets and which sites they run on
- The item selectors it learned for each site
Sent for AI rules only
- Your rule and up to 400 characters of each item's text, with a random install ID and the extension version
- On sites without a preset, where an AI rule is on: the site name, a few CSS selectors and short text samples, once, to find the items
- Never on a built-in list of email, chat and banking sites, and never text you type or timestamps
- Classified on Cloudflare. Item text is not stored, and Cloudflare says it does not train on it
- Off until you agree, and you can turn it off any time

Free to filter. Pay only for AI.
Keyword rules are free forever. AI rules start with up to 1,000 free checks, then 50 a day. A plan adds credits every billing cycle, and unused credits carry over.

Plans
Billed every two months. Credits are used after your 50 free daily checks. Unused credits never expire, and they stay yours if you cancel. A plan change applies from the next billing cycle.
Questions before you install
Which sites does it work on?
Every site. Reddit, YouTube, X, Google and Hacker News have presets. On other sites, including news comment sections, Smart Filter finds the repeated items itself, and you can point at one item if it guesses wrong.
What counts as an AI check?
One post, video, listing or comment checked against your AI rules. Items it has already checked are remembered, so scrolling back up costs nothing.
Do I need an API key or an account?
No. Install it and write a rule. A licence key only comes into play when you buy credits.
Can a post trick the AI into showing it?
Items are sent as data, never as instructions, and Smart Filter ignores text addressed to a filter. No classifier is perfect, which is why every hidden item stays one click away.
Does it slow pages down?
Keyword rules run instantly on your device. AI results arrive in batches and are cached, so a long feed only waits for new items.
What happens when my free checks run out?
Once your free checks and credits are used up, AI rules pause until the next day. Free checks reset at midnight UTC, and the extension shows the time in your timezone. Keyword rules keep working.
What happens when I change or cancel a plan?
A plan change applies from the next billing cycle. After you cancel, your unused credits stay yours: enter your licence key again and the extension lists them as credits from a past plan.
Does it send my email or chat to the AI?
AI rules never run on a built-in list of email and chat sites (Gmail, Outlook, WhatsApp Web, Slack, Discord and others) or on addresses that start with mail., webmail., bank. or banking., so nothing from those pages is sent. Keyword rules still work there, on your device. On every other site, AI rules send item text once you have agreed.
